334 - How Long ‘Til Gramma Gets Here?

A lot of slice-of-life stuff here. This is pretty much how our kids chat with each other. My daughter will always ask how many times she has to go to sleep before an event–be it a visit or a holiday. It’s funny, because we never talked about how many “sleeps” until Christmas–which is something a lot of people do. She just came up with the same thing on her own.

It may seem a bit odd talking about divorce that way, but the fact of the matter is that many kids do have to deal with that. Though the situations for splitting are not quite as mentioned here, both Jim and my parents are divorces, so our kids never see a traditional “gramma and grampa” visiting. It’s always separate and apart. At least on Dott’s side of the family, that seems to be the case here.
