316 - Midnight at Macrohard

As I have mentioned, I have been posting smiley/pixel-art over at deviantART. I am actually finding it quite rewarding because I’m getting some much-needed feedback from other artists, as well as doing different kinds of art which is expanding my pixelling skills. As a result, I’m finding myself wanting to fine-tune my BMW art. I still plan to keep a minimalistic set-design and mostly flat coloring of the strip. However, there are design elements I have never quite liked and have bugged me for quite a while. Time was mostly holding me back, as well as simply not wanting to mess with the status quo. However, with such a focus on my art lately, I realize that I needed to finally start making those changes. So, over the next few weeks, you’ll see some set changes. Most noteably, “horizons”, meaning that I’m going to get away from the “floating” furniture and give the rooms some definition with a horizontal line dividing the floor and ceiling. I’ll also be adding some other minor perspective elements, as well.

Since many people simply do not like deviantART and/or Blogger (my blog), I have gotten suggestions from a few fans that I start posting more here in the bonus art section. I did try posting in the forums, but that didn’t go over too well.
