310 - Sauntering In
August 21, 2009

A surprise inspection is more of a government or military thing, and we really wanted something tied-in to the corporate world. We wanted to use “procedural documentation review”, but the problem is that while that phrase may strike fear into the heart of anyone who’s ever worked in the IT department of a large company, most people would wonder what the big deal is. “Surprise inspection”, at least, is something everyone is familiar with.

I like your Rasterman story line. He’s a cool superhero character that’s worth keeping. I also like the supervillian”Cold Fusion”. I hope he pops up once in a while. Meanwhile, I like the Magical/ bookshop. Very Antiqueish. very old, and very Haunted Houseish. I was wondering who the owner of that establishment is? He looked like a Ghoulish Ulmarr Gravestone. Keep up with the Superheros.
We enjoy the superheroes storylines too. Rasterman definitely gives this humor strip some much-needed seriousness and edge. Don’t write off Cold Fusion. You never know what he is up to.
The antique shop owner was actually inspired by the WoW “Creepy Doll” video done for the Jonathan Coulton song. There’s a link to the video in the forums. I was going for an antique shop/bookstore when I designed the set–not really magic shop, but creepy old antique shops always have some cursed item or such laying around, so you never know. ~Mirz
