As we have mentioned here in the comic before, Michelle is a migraine sufferer. Anyone who deals with chronic migraines knows they are not only painful, but can last several days in a row. Michelle has been fighting one for the last few days. This actually wasn’t a hinderance to her art, but to her writing. Pushing pixels isn’t that thought-intense. Get the dialogue and timing down when you can barely think straight is the difficult part. We didn’t want to skip another issue (we still have one to make-up from a while back), so I decided to do this filler. Hopefully she’ll feel better and have the strip up tonight or tomorrow.

The filler was done using the Build-Your-Own-Comic template. But I tweaked the graphics a bit to work with this strip and used our standard BMW font for the wording.

I should note, and we’ve mentioned this before, that while our storylines are mapped out ahead of time, oftentimes the actual script dialogue is written shortly before the comic is done. Plus, due to the limited nature of the strip, even when we have a full script, oftentimes lines must be changed, edited, tweaked to fit within the panels. Michelle does a nice job of all of that….when she isn’t nursing a migraine.
